Wassail Wine Spices

Wassail (Middle English 'waes hael' - 'be you healthy') refers both to the salute 'Waes Hail' and to the drink of wassail, a hot mulled cider drunk as part of wassailing, an English ritual intended to ensure a good apple harvest the following year.

Our Wassail Wine Spices contain orange peel, ginger, cinnamon, allspice and cloves. Just add them to a pot with one gallon red wine or port, a 1/2 cup sugar and simmer at a low heat for 1-2 hours. Brews sixteen 8-ounce servings. Both a festive and historical beverage your guests will enjoy. (Pictured are Wassail Cider Spices)
